Guess The Animal

You think of an animal, and the program tries to "guess" the animal you are thinking of by asking a series of questions with yes-or-no answers. If the program can't identify the animal you're thinking of, it asks you to "teach" it a new animal. Guess The Animal demonstrates a very basic form of rule-based AI, using a heuristic process to acquire new rules.

Download Directions

Guess The Animal is distributed as a Microsoft Installer (.msi) file. Follow these steps to download and install:

1. Click the download link. Your browser will display a file download dialog box.
2. Save GuessTheAnimal_1-1.msi to any location on your hard drive.
3. When the download is complete, do one of the following:
   • choose Run at the end of the download process
   • browse to where you saved GuessTheAnimal_1-1.msi, and double-click it.
4. Windows will launch Microsoft Installer – Follow the prompts on-screen to complete the installation process.

To Uninstall: Use the Windows Control Panel Add/Remove Programs applet to uninstall Guess The Animal.
